Wildfire Partners is Boulder County's own mitigation programme and the best known of its kind in Colorado, but it is not the whole county: its own words limit the individual home assessment to West Boulder County and to portions of rural East Boulder County. Its community chipping needs a group of five or more nearby households, so a single property on its own does not qualify and organising the neighbours comes first. The Colorado State Forest Service office covering the county sits at Longmont despite being named for Boulder, and it publishes a contractor list and a mountain pine beetle contractor list of its own.
