Restoring Colorados Forests Fund

A donor funded programme that gives no cost seedling trees to Colorado landowners whose property has been damaged by wildfire or another natural disaster, so burned ground can be replanted to protect water supplies, reduce flooding and erosion and restore wildlife habitat.

The application window is annual and runs from 1 June to 30 September. The programme asks a landowner to speak to a forester at their local field office before applying, and applications are ranked on a forester's evaluation, with priority to those that best show soil, water quality and wildlife habitat improvement and the greatest public benefit.
