Jackson County took the worst of the 2020 Almeda fire, and it carries the fullest recovery listing of any Oregon county on this site. The ACCESS Center for Community Resilience in Medford screens survivors for eligibility over the telephone. The Jackson County Community Long-Term Recovery Group at Talent publishes no phone number and asks people to use the form on its site, its old email address having been abandoned. Rebuild permits now go through Jackson County Development Services in the ordinary way, the county's Wildfire Resiliency Permit Center having closed in April 2024.
