Arizona Water Adequacy Lookup

Arizona decides whether a subdivision has a hundred year water supply through two programmes. The Assured Water Supply Program runs inside the seven Active Management Areas, where a developer cannot get a public report and cannot sell lots without proving one. The Adequate Water Supply Program runs outside them, where in most places a determination is optional but an inadequate supply must be disclosed to the first buyer. The determinations, the designated providers and the mandatory adequacy jurisdictions are all published and free to look up.
Who qualifies Serves raw, undeveloped land. The department's own words are that the Active Management Areas include portions of Cochise, Graham, Maricopa, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz and Yavapai counties. Everywhere else in the state falls under the weaker Adequate Water Supply rules, which is exactly why the lookup matters more outside the seven than inside them.
