A brushing service for low income and disabled residents, paid for by CAL FIRE: the clearing is done for you rather than described to you. Grant funded, so ask what the current round covers.

The council tests who qualifies against the PG and E CARE programme rules, and it is aimed at residents who cannot keep their 100 feet clear themselves, whether that is for physical or for money reasons. The crew clears that 100 feet around an inhabited building of the heavier stuff: larger brush, low branches and hazardous fuel. Ring and ask whether you qualify before anything else, and if a booking has to be cancelled the council asks for at least three days notice. Where this comes from
