A trailer or dumpster delivered to your property at no cost so you can haul away the dead vegetation you have cut. Paid for by Bureau of Land Management grants and running since 2006. It takes plants grown on the property only, not construction waste, bagged material or loads heavy with soil.
Who qualifies Serves raw, undeveloped land. Qualification is by location: the property must lie within the Carson City wildland urban interface, which the city's MapGeo address search will confirm. Residents of a recognised Firewise community qualify whether or not they are in the interface.
How to apply Check your address against the city's wildland urban interface map, then call Carson City Fire Department on (775) 887-2210 to reserve a trailer or dumpster.
