A free defensible space inspection of your property by the fire department's wildland staff, running since 2006 and paid for by a Bureau of Land Management grant. The visit assesses defensible space, vegetation management and construction standards against the University of Nevada, Reno Living With Fire guidance and the wildland urban interface code.
Who qualifies Serves raw, undeveloped land as readily as built land, because what is assessed is the vegetation and the approach. The grant funds assessments of properties within the Carson City wildland urban interface.
