A trained advisor visits at the homeowner's request and reviews the defensible space zones, the clearance and signage on the access route, and home hardening upgrades. The council says a review is also the way in to its reimbursement programme.
There is money attached to this one. The council says the review is the first step in qualifying for up to 50 percent back on the defensible space improvements it suggests, and that only a review carried out in 2025 or 2026 counts towards that.
