A you cut, we chip programme. Residents cut, gather and pile vegetation at a roadside location and chipping crews visit neighbourhood by neighbourhood to chip it on site or haul it away at no cost.
You do the cutting; the crew only chips what is already piled. Keep piles to 10 feet wide by 10 feet long by 5 feet tall at most, material under 8 inches across, cut ends pointing the same way, and within 8 feet of a road or driveway. Loose leaves, pine needles, poison oak and blackberry will not be chipped, and it is not for vacant lots or new construction. Where this comes from
Who qualifies Neighbourhoods are chosen using a risk and asset model for communities in unincorporated areas, and new neighbourhoods are added as funding allows. Different partners deliver the service in different parts of the county, including Woodside, Portola Valley, Emerald Hills, the Skyline area, west of the Interstate 280 corridor and La Honda.
