Napa Firewise reimburses residents for defensible space work carried out after a no cost home evaluation, within 100 feet of structures, or 150 feet where the structures are on a slope, plus the way in and out of the home. Work beyond that distance is not eligible.
Who qualifies Open to Napa County residents whose homes are in a high or very high fire hazard severity zone. Income qualified residents are reimbursed at a higher rate than other eligible residents, up to a published cap, and priority goes to the greater Berryessa area and to income qualified applicants.
How to apply Submit the interest form on the Napa Firewise defensible space page. The team says it will make contact within a few working days to discuss eligibility and available funding. Only out of pocket amounts paid to a contractor and supported by an itemised invoice are reimbursed.
