A free defensible space evaluation: an evaluator comes to the property and goes through the ground around your buildings with you, saying what needs clearing and in what order to do it. In Marin this sits with the wildfire prevention authority rather than with CAL FIRE.
The evaluation is listed as covering home hardening as well as defensible space, and afterwards there is a written report you can pull up online with your inspection code. The same authority runs Chipper Days, grants for residents, and a low income senior exemption, so ask about those too. Where this comes from
