The council keeps a searchable list of vegetation contractors for county residents working on defensible space, evacuation route clearance and forest health, published on the county's own site.
You can filter and sort the list by area or by the service you need, and download the whole thing as a CSV spreadsheet. The same page links look-up tools for contractor licences, arborists and licensed timber operators, so you can check a licence yourself. Southern Humboldt has its own separate list as well.
