The council chips hazardous vegetation that residents have cut and piled near a chipper accessible road, working through Del Norte County community by community. Chips are not hauled away and stay on the property.
Before you start cutting: they chip clean wood up to 15 inches across, and every piece must be movable by hand, with sections best kept between 4 and 10 feet. Stack within 10 feet of a road their pickup and chipper can reach, no higher than 4 feet with cut ends facing the road. Stumps, dirt and construction debris are refused. Where this comes from
