The fire district's Measure X wildfire programme pays for exterior hazard removal on the properties of eligible low income owners, covering overgrown or dead vegetation, weeds, combustible debris and tree litter.
This is one of several Measure X programmes, and the others are mostly for groups rather than a single owner: chipping days need a Firewise community or at least 10 participating homes, and dead tree removal covers trees in common or open spaces that threaten nearby structures.
